Six Ways Your Rifle is Hurting Your Scores, Part 2

Posted by Scott Quarles on 9/15/2014 to What's New!
In this article, we'll talk about two more ways you can improve your equipment and improve your scores on the firing line.  We'll take a look at scopes and how parallax can cost you points, and we'll also look at apertures and see how the correctly sized aperture can give you a better sight picture.  If you haven't read it yet, be sure to look at Part 1 in the Articles section, and stay tuned for Part 3!

Are you getting all of the points you're holding for?  Are your groups still larger than you'd like for them to be?  When you look at your target, is there a shot or two outside of the others, and you have no idea how they got there?  If any of these sound familiar, keep reading to learn more about how essential it is to eliminate equipment variables from the shooting process.

The Genesis of Rimfire Essentials

Posted by Scott Quarles on 1/1/2014 to Welcome!
The story behind how Rimfire Essentials came to be has been a fascinating journey.  The founder of Rimfire Essentials, Scott Quarles, went from never having owned a rifle, through Project Appleseed, to working toward his Distinguished Rifleman medal, all in a fast and furious year.  Along the way, many ideas for new and better products came to mind, and Rimfire Essentials was created to be a resource both for products as well as information for shooters at all levels.
